Mission Motorsports took on the 12hr enduro in a 1.6L Turbodiesel 2012-2016 generation CR-V. They finished 3rd in class at Anglesey Circuit

Cool video detailing the cause and their experience

The team used a CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC AWD EX model as the foundation for this project, removing everything inside except for the dashboard, while adding a bespoke roll cage, racing seats and harnesses.

I had no idea that they made a diesel CRV. I guess it’s not surprising

I wanna do something slightly similar, but with a Type-R engine. Apparently it’s not common for this gen

A car in this segment is not competitive without a diesel option (or two, three), in Europe. Especially a few years ago.

Civic also. Used to be a diesel Accord, when the Accord was still sold in Europe.
